MOESBURG, Ok. —

A local family is unsure how they acquired a fifth child. Brian and Wendy Lipe, of Moesburg, thought they had four children, when they realized a fifth child was in their midst. Said child, Luke Jackson, the next-door neighbor and best friend of the oldest Lipe child, Andrew, had been making regular appearances at their residence, joining in games with their other four children and often staying for supper increasingly often, until, Brian and Wendy say, he was living with them and had become a member of their family.

“Before I knew it, we had a college fund set up for Luke,” said Brian.

“You just don’t get it, Dad!” The interview was interrupted as Luke emerged from his bedroom, which had apparently appeared out of thin air when he joined the family, and went out the front door, slamming it behind him.

“He’s going through a rebellious phase,” Wendy explained. “But we’re still his parents – I think – and we love him.”
