ATLANTA. Ga. —
To adjust for the large share of obese Americans, the CDC has declared all non-morbidly obese people to now be considered “in shape.”
Under the new guidelines, obese Americans will no longer be considered at an unhealthy weight as long as they do not meet the criteria for morbid obesity. If they are not obese at all, but still overweight, they are considered in peak physical shape, and if they are at a weight previously considered “healthy,” they are at a practically unattainable level of physical condition.
